indication
The medicine contains the active substance cyclophosphamide. Cyclophosphamide is a cytostatic, i.e. drug used to treat cancer. It works by killing cancer cells, which is sometimes referred to as “chemotherapy.”
Cyclophosphamide is often used alone or in combination with other cancer medications or radiation therapy to treat a variety of cancers, such as:
certain types of leukocyte cancer (acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia)
various forms of lymphoma that affect the immune system (Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and multiple myeloma)
ovarian cancer and breast cancer
Ewing’s sarcoma (a type of bone cancer)
small cell lung cancer
for the treatment of advanced or metastatic tumors of the central nervous system (neuroblastoma).
Cyclophosphamide is also used in preparation for a bone marrow transplant to treat certain types of leukocyte cancer (acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, and acute myeloid leukemia).
Sometimes some doctors may prescribe cyclophosphamide to treat conditions other than cancer:
life-threatening autoimmune diseases: severe progressive forms of lupus nephritis (inflammation of the kidneys due to a compromised immune system) and Wegener’s granulomatosis (a rare form of vasculitis)
contraindication

Cyclophosphamide is also indicated for children. The safety profile of cyclophosphamide in children is comparable to that in adults.
If you got more than you should
Since you will be given cyclophosphamide under medical supervision, it is very unlikely that you will be given too much. However, if you experience any side effects after using cyclophosphamide, tell your doctor right away or go to your nearest hospital emergency room. You may need immediate medical attention.
Symptoms of a cyclophosphamide overdose include the side effects listed in the side effects category, but they are usually more serious.
