Dosage of Lipitor 20 mg film-coated tablet
Before starting treatment, your doctor will prescribe a low cholesterol diet for you to follow during treatment.
The usual starting dose for adults and children 10 years of age and older is 10 mg once daily. If necessary, the doctor can increase it until you get the required dose. Your doctor will adjust your dosage at intervals of 4 weeks or more. The maximum dose is 80 mg once a day.

Taking with other medicines
There are some other medicines that can change how a medicine works, or a medicine can change how they work. Such interactions may make one or both drugs less effective. If you need to take fusidic acid to treat a bacterial infection, you will need to stop taking it temporarily. Your doctor will tell you when it is safe to take the medicine again.
