The timing of hypoglycemia usually reflects the action profile of the prescribed insulin. Hypoglycemia after injection/infusion during the use of the drug Lyumzhev™ may develop earlier compared to other prandial insulins due to the rapid onset of action of the drug.
Hypoglycemia may occur unexpectedly and each time the symptoms in the same person may differ and change over time. Severe hypoglycemia can cause seizures, lead to loss of consciousness, and can be life-threatening or cause death. Symptoms of hypoglycemia may change or be less pronounced with long-term diabetes;
– the use of inadequate doses of insulin or discontinuation of treatment, especially in insulin-dependent patients, can lead to the development of hyperglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis , which are potentially fatal conditions.
