What is the drug Ovoplex and what is it used for
Ovoplex – oral contraceptive.
It is prescribed for the following indications: oral hormonal contraception, disorders of the menstrual cycle and ovarian rest.
In addition, the use of oral contraceptives may have a beneficial effect on conditions such as dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), as well as reduce the incidence of certain diseases of the breast and reproductive organs.
Before taking Ovoplex film-coated tablets.
- If you are allergic to levonorgestrel, ethinyl estradiol, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- If you are pregnant or think you might be.
- If you suffer from severe liver dysfunction.
- If you have had blood clots in the veins of the lower extremities that have moved and affected other areas of the body, even if this happened a long time ago.
- If you have had tumors of the breast, liver, cervix, uterus or vagina.
- If you have diabetes associated with heart or circulatory problems.
- If you suffer from diseases of the arteries of the brain or heart.
- If you suffer from any heart valve disease (valvulopathy).
- If you suffer from heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmia) with the possibility of blood clots.
- If you suffer from hereditary or acquired diseases that predispose you to the formation of blood clots (thrombophilia).
- If you suffer from migraines associated with symptoms such as loss of strength or sensation in any part of the body or changes in vision (aura).
- If you have high blood pressure.
- If you suffer from vaginal bleeding of unknown cause.
- If you suffer from inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis) due to a sharp increase in triglyceride levels.
- If you have hepatitis C and are taking medicines containing ombitasvir/paritaprevir/ritonavir and dasabuvir, glecaprevir/pibrentasvir or sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir (see also the section “Other medicines and Ovoplex”). span>
